The Maguro Roll is our roll made with cooked tuna: 4 pieces for CHF 11.00, the most affordable roll on Han Kitchen’s menu in Zurich Oerlikon. If you enjoy sushi but would rather not eat raw fish, this is the one for you.
Sushi with cooked tuna
On our menu it is listed as «Maguro Roll (cooked tuna)», and that detail matters. «Maguro» is Japanese for tuna, and unlike our tuna sashimi, the tuna here is cooked. That makes the roll milder and a good fit for guests who do not like raw fish or are trying sushi for the first time.
Like all our rolls it is made inside-out: sushi rice outside, nori inside, 4 pieces per portion. According to our menu, the tuna for our sushi comes from Vietnam.
Which rolls have no raw fish?
Besides the Maguro Roll (CHF 11.00), two more rolls contain no raw fish: the California Roll with avocado, crayfish and tobiko (CHF 12.00) and the Tempura Roll with fried prawns and cucumber (CHF 12.00). Order all three and you have a varied sushi platter without any raw fish at all.
That is handy for mixed groups: raw-fish fans order the Salmon & Avocado Roll or the Rainbow Roll, everyone else sticks to the three rolls without raw fish – and you still share from the same table. If you would rather have your tuna with some heat, go for the Spicy Maguro Roll (CHF 12.00).
