Our Rainbow Roll
Our menu describes the Rainbow Roll in just four words: with salmon and avocado. That is all it needs, because the roll is built around exactly those two ingredients. The salmon comes from Norway, while the avocado adds a soft, creamy contrast. Like every roll on our menu it is made inside-out, so the sushi rice sits on the outside and the nori sheet wraps the filling inside.
The name is all about the look. A rainbow roll is traditionally finished so that fish and avocado drape over the top in bands of colour – a rainbow on the plate. It is the most eye-catching roll we serve and, at CHF 13.00, also the highest-priced item in our «Rolls (4 pieces)» section.
Rainbow Roll or Salmon & Avocado Roll?
Both rolls rely on salmon and avocado, yet they suit different moods. The Salmon & Avocado Roll (CHF 12.00) is the simple, classic choice. The Rainbow Roll (CHF 13.00) is for anyone who eats with their eyes first and wants the salmon to take centre stage.
If you would like to try several kinds, pair the Rainbow Roll with a California Roll (CHF 12.00) or a Tempura Roll (CHF 12.00). That puts raw salmon, crayfish and crispy fried prawns side by side – ideal for sharing between two.
